- Click on one of the "conference" links on the instructions for submitting the essay (or click on the link to the schedule found in entries in the WriteSPACE Calendar or on the main site for the course).
- Note the instructions at the top of the conference page for the information you'll need to supply depending on if you choose an in-person or an online conference, and then locate an open time on the schedule that you'd like to do your conference (you can jump back and forth between the online and in-person sections by clicking on the respective links in the "Table of Contents" in the little box on the right).
- Click on one of the "Edit the page" buttons; one will be at the very top in the upper left corner of the conference page and the other will be at the bottom of the page. A new page with a text box containing the entire schedule will open up.
- In the text box find the the time you had selected, click after it to put your insertion point after the end time and then type your first and last name and any other information required as per the information at the top of the schedule (see step 2. above). In doing this, be careful not to delete any information someone else has already put on the schedule; if you do so intentionally, you will fail the course.
- If you ever want to change your conference time, just go back into the schedule and sign up for a new one as described in the steps above but also delete your name from after the time slot you had originally chosen (but make sure you don't delete the time itself so that someone else can sign up for it if needed).
