(The subtitle wasn't my idea; I don't know if it's the "simplest, clearest and most detailed guide for spectators," but I've tried to make it as close to that as I could.) My book is not just about the rules of the game itself; I also discuss the organization of football, including the business of professional football and the impact of the sport on American culture.
